I’ve had a cough for about two-weeks, along with some phlegm, sneezing, and runny nose. Which is probably just my sinuses acting up, because of the abnormally-high pollen count this year.
So… my cough has stuck with me long enough… so we decide that I should probably go to the doctor, get some drugs, and get rid of it. Sabrina calls and makes the appointment for today at 10:45am.
No sweat. I’ll get there, and be out by 11:30am. (I think to myself optimistically.)
10:35 AM: I arrive at the doctor’s office and sign-in.
11:05 AM: I finish the magazine I brought with me.
11:30 AM: I take my magazine back to the car.
11:35 AM: They call me back.
12:05 AM: I go to the bathroom.
12:15 AM: I return a phone call from work.
12:30 AM: I start looking out the window just to have something different to look at.
12:45 AM: The doctor comes in.
2 hours, ladies and gentlemen …. TWO HOURS after my scheduled appointment. TWO. HOURS. I should start a doctor’s office management business. They need some serious help with keeping appointments and time management. I would run my office with a “30 minute guarantee”. The doctor will see you within 30-minutes of your appointment time or we’ll pay your co-pay.
People would flock to it, I’m telling you.
